A GROUP OF SILVER, MARCASITE, ENAMEL AND GEM-SET JEWELRY
Jewelry from the Collection of James II Galleries What began as a passion for beautiful objects grew into a business that spanned nearly forty years. From their 57th Street shop, Barbara Munves and her daughter Julie Seymour found unique and wearable jewelry to offer their clients and friends. With a keen eye for craftsmanship and design, the mother and daughter team amassed a collection of jewelry which was both eclectic and accessible. With everything from 18th century paste jewelry, 19th century Scottish agate, Art Deco diamond jewelry and Retro gold jewelry, James II was the perfect place to find beautiful and one of a kind jewels. Christie's is privileged to be entrusted to sell the jewelry of James II Galleries, and to provide our clients with one more opportunity to own a piece of this very special collection.
