Lot Essay

The dial of the present watch was custom-made by Patek Philippe upon special request of the original owner. It now features applied gold Arabic numerals whereas the standard dial for reference 3970 is fitted with applied baton numerals.
The original dial with baton numerals also accompanies this watch allowing the new owner to make their own preference.

This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture in 1995 and its subsequent sale on 27th June, 1996, wooden presentation box, spare gold back and date change tool.
