Mark of Hendrik Dauw, Leeuwarden, 1786, also struck with later Dutch duty mark
Circular, on three claw feet, the openwork lower rim (dented) pierced with dots and slats, fluted body alternated by three openwork applied laurel medallions with urn, surmounted by a garland swag and ribbon, beaded rim, the detachable stepped and high-domed cover with a chased and embossed band of scrolling foliage, an openwork upper-band pierced with dots and slats, urn-shaped finial, marked on base
