The circular top raised on square tapering legs ending in ormolu sabots with casters, with four later mahogany leaves and two later additional supports for the leaves with paired turned matching legs, restorations, later casters

With its dependence on the rich figuring of the mahogany and simple ormolu mouldings, this table à manger is designed in the restrained 'Etruscan' style of the 1790s. In character, it resembles the documented oeuvre of Bernard Molitor, who supplied tables à jeux of closely related character and mounts (U. Leben, B. Molitor, London, 1992, p.199, figs. 118a-c).
