A SEVRES OVIFORM BLUE-GROUND TEAPOT AND COVER (THEIERE CALABRE)
1767, BLUE INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTER O, PAINTER'S MARK FOR CORNAILLES, INCISED L (?)
Each side painted with a circular garland of flowers tied at the top with a pink ribbon and suspended from an oval waved gilt band ciselé cartouche, the ground gilt with large dots, the white curved spout and white ear-shaped handle enriched with gilding, the domed cover with a similar ground reserved with a similar waved cartouche enclosing a yellow carnation finial, each with gilt line borders and gilt dentil rims (tip of spout with minute restored chip, minute chipping to finial, slight wear to gilt band on footrim)
