A SEVRES GOBELET A LAIT AND A TREMBLEUSE SAUCER
1767, SAUCER WITH BLUE INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTER O, PAINTER'S MARK FOR MICAUD OR XHROUET AND INDISTINCT INCISED MARK
The cup of tapering conical form, the interwoven handle with gilt foliate terminals, the body painted with vertical panels of garlands of pink roses interwoven with garlands of cornflowers alternating with panels of diaper ornament and divided by vertical blue staves entwined with gilt foliage, the broad flat border of the saucer with similar decoration radiating from the central recessed well (areas of very slight wear) (2)
