The teacaddy shoulder, footrim and ribs richly gilt, the fielded facets probably painted by J.G. Höroldt, with Orientals preparing tea, holding parasols, a whip and smoking pipes on terraces with flowering shrubs, palm trees, jardinières and plinths below insects in flight and gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk, the circular cover edged with pale-green, yellow, red and purple diaper pattern, the fielded top with interlocking gilt scrolls, flowerheads and lozenge-shaped Böttger-lustre panels (areas of minute wear to gilding)
