CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S O. MARK
Of ogival quatrefoil form, painted with a Turk on horseback by merchants at discussion among barrels by a tent, a canon barrel and canon balls strewn on the ground before a moored boat and a distant galleon and buildings, within a double ogival quatrefoil red line cartouche, the underside with a coral-red ground, gilt line rim (areas of wear, ground with minute areas of wear)
