the frosted gilt three quarter plate movement with bimetallic balance, flat hairspring with overcoils and English lever escapement, repeating the half quarters on two gongs by operating a slide in the band, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands, in gold case with grained finish, the front cover with blue Roman numerals, the back cover set with diamonds in the design of the 'Star of India,' centred by a star shaped mount set with larger diamonds surrounded by a pale blue enamel scroll with inscription 'Heaven's Light our Guide,' movement and dial signed, case and movement numbered
