the gilded brass verge movement with pierced and engraved cock and foot to the edge of the top plate and silver pierced furniture, pierced Egyptian pillars with decorative capitals, chain fusee and verge escapement, engraved spring barrel to the alarm train striking on a bell, the silver champleve dial with gilt wheat ear engraving to the rim, Roman numerals, half hour markers, quarter hour ring, central alarm disc with blued steel pointer, central hour hand, in profusely pierced and engraved inner and outer cases, the outer case engraved 'Honi soit qui mal y pense' and 'Semper Eadem'
