Lot Essay

Reference 3587, Patek Philippe's first model featuring an electronic movement, was presented at the Basle Fair in April 1970. The Beta-21 Caliber was developed by a number of watch companies, including Patek Philippe, at the Swiss Electronic Research Centre or CEH (Centre Electronique Horologer) in Neuchatel and was the first quartz movement for watches with analog display.
