A large early Chad Valley teddy bear
with light golden mohair, clear and black glass eyes with orange painted backs, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose and claws, swivel head, jointed limbs with tan cloth pads, hump and metal rimmed button under chin, circa 1930 --28½in. (72.5cm.) high (balding fore head, thining to arms, damage to pads, general wear and missing some stitching)
