An early British teddy bear
with pale golden mohair, clear and black glass eyes with remains of brown painted backs, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with cloth pads, hump, wearing brown waistcoat, 'For Home and Country' enamelled badge and bell, 1910-20 --13½in. (34cm.) high (worn, a few repairs and one foot pad recovered)
