A silver-mounted bowenite bonbonnière shaped as an egg
marked Fabergé and with workmaster's mark of Julius Rappoport, St. Petersburg, circa 1890, with traces of an illegible scratched inventory number
The thinly carved bowenite body divided in two halves, the upper half mounted with silver laurel-leaf ribbon-tied swags above a reeded rim, surmounted with a bud finial, emanating from acanthus leaves, on a silver tripod stand with three hoof feet, each surmounted by a ram's head, marked on flange and tripod
