This large and impressive garniture which includes the Russian double- headed Imperial eagle and the Hungarian eagle at the top of each column may be linked to the involvement of the Russian army in Transylvania during the reign of Nicholas I in 1849. In addition, this specific Imperial double-headed eagle with extended wings was used only during Nicholas I's reign (1825-1855), which may confirm the above.
