In the form of a duck, the glass body applied with glass handle and with silver head, collar and tail-mounts realistically chased with feathers, the head hinged and with gilt interior, the glass body engraved with a crowned monogram, marked on head, collar and tail-mounts, the tail-mount engraved with registration mark

The registration mark of the design, engraved beneath the tail, is dated 1 October 1881.
