A pair of William III silver-gilt salvers
Mark of William Lukin, London, 1701, the feet late 18th century
Each circular, on three later bracket feet, with corded border, the reverse with cut-cardwork and traces of central foot, the field engraved with a coat-of-arms within Garter motto and with earl's coronet above, each marked on field, the undersides each engraved with scratchweight '38=18' and '2 39=18'

The arms are those of Hyde, for Henry, 2nd Earl of Rochester and 4th Earl of Clarendon of the first creation (1672-1753). He married Jane (d.1725), daughter of Sir William Leveson-Gower 4th Bt. (d.1691), in 1692. (2)
