A set of twelve German silver-gilt apostle spoons
Mark of Christoph Stimmel, Breslau, circa 1600
Each with plain deep fig-shaped bowl, the base of the hexagonal stems formed as an oval cartouche with vacant reverse, the front chased with a coat of arms and initials, the stems each engraved with the name of the Saint, twelve articles of faith from the Creed and terminating in a cast and applied Apostle, each marked on heel of bowl, six additionally engraved with initials H.B.H above hallmarks
