the leaf painted over an engraving with an elegant nobleman, possibly Francois I, in a four-poster bed attended by four elegant ladies, one singing accompanied by a mandolin, the verso with a lady with a pair of lorgnettes, with pierced horn sticks, the gilt metal guardsticks enamelled with a Gothick design - 9in.
