a printed fan, the leaf a hand-coloured stipple engraving, the origin of the fan, the verso with Zephyr and Flora, the bone sticks pieced with a frieze of holes forming a spyhole when closed, cloute with mother of pearl and silvered - 8.5in. (21cm.), French for the Spanish market, circa 1825 (worn)

Another example of this leaf, with different verso and sticks, was sold in An Important Collection of Fans, Christie's South Kensington, 11 June 1991, lot 130. That fan had the publication line Fdo. Coustellier Y Cia.
