the leaf engraved with two gentlemen conversing with two ladies over a garden wall by a gate, with a fisherman in the foreground and ruined monuments to the left, with a shepherd and shepherdess and farm buildings beyond, hand-coloured and heightened in gold, the unusual ivory sticks carved with a triple row of spyholes, the handle carved with a four leafed clover when closed - 10.5in.
