The drawing in this lot and the following lot were probably done during one of the Cannes jury meetings, although they don't appear to have been used for festival posters or programmes.

Jean Cocteau was honorary president of the Cannes Film Festival, and a member of the jury for a number of years. He was involved with the festival almost from its outset.
