Robert Florey, the associate director's own shooting script for the screenplay by Charles Chaplin Comedy Of Murders, 215pp. of mimeographed typescript, 82pp. annotated by Florey in pencil and coloured crayon with amendments to dialogue, directions for actors and cameras, the title page inscribed by Florey with a detailed production breakdown, the script bound with: a typescript letter written in French on Charles Chaplin Studios... headed stationery, Hollywood, December 1948, outlining the rarity of this production material; a page of costume sketches by Chaplin in coloured pencil for Martha Raye's hats, initialled in graphite C.C.; 75pp. of blueprints for set designs, storey board sketches and scene outlines; five original black and white production photographs annotated by Florey in blue ink with his director's notes; a complete 10pp. shooting schedule; a complete set of 67 call sheets, a few annotated by Florey in pencil; and a complete set of 23 sequence, scene and script break-downs, bound in black cloth boards, titled in gilt Monsieur Verdoux -- Charles Chaplin (a lot)
