A hand-written letter of admiration from Marlon Brando to an air stewardess composed during a flight from New York to London, the letter written in blue ballpoint pen on a sheet of lined paper addressed Dear Lady [n.d. but circa 1966], telling her There is something not quite definable in your face - something lovely...You seem to be a woman who has been loved in her childhood or else, somehow by the mystery of genetic phenomena, you have been visited by the gifts of refinement, dignity and poise...you have passed something on in terms of your expression...and general comportment that is unusual and resounding. It's been a pleasant if brief encounter and I wish you well and I hope we shall have occasion to cross eyes again sometime, Best wishes, Marlon Brando, Savoy, 1p.

The vendor, to whom the letter was written, was a senior air stewardess on a flight from New York to London sometime in 1966. A passenger in front of Brando was taken ill during the flight and after she had looked after him, Brando told her that he had written her a letter and would give it to her when the plane landed.
