Lot Essay

This performance on 16th November, 1970 was the second show that day. It was hosted by Princess Grace Of Monaco, although her spoken introduction doesn't appear on the record. Almost all of this concert was broadcast on BBC television six days later entitled Night Of Nights. This film has since been released on video and DVD. All these sources however omit one song heard on this record, A Foggy Day. Although this performance has not been given an official release on CD, it has been released unofficially as My Way (taken from the TV soundtrack).
The vendor's father was an employee of Decca Records and, when Sinatra was appearing in London in 1970, he and five other employees were invited to one of the concerts and given permission to record it for their own personal use. Six discs were apparently pressed from the recording - one for each employee.
