A collection of photographs taken by Bob Penn, comprising:
- Dr Strangelove, 1964: 24 black and white prints, 19 with corresponding black and white negatives, subjects include: Stanley Kubrick looking through a camera (2); Sellers as President Merkin Muffley (8, including one of Sellers in discussion with Stanley Kubrick, one duplicate, one mounted on card); two views of the Pentagon War Room; George C. Scott in discussion with Stanley Kubrick; and a montage of Sellers as the three characters he plays; and five shots of the food fight alternative ending, prints all with photographer's ink-credit to reverse, majority -- 11x14in. (28x35.5cm.); and a black and white still of Sellers as all four characters Kubrick originally intended him to play (the character of the Texan Major T.J. King Kong was eventually played by American actor Slim Pickens) -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.);
- The Optimists, 1973: 16 colour slides and two corresponding black and white prints, both with photographer's ink-credit to reverse, both -- 10½x12½in. (26.6x31.7cm.);
- Soft Beds, Hard Battles, 1974: 15 colour slides and six black and white prints of Peter Sellers in costume with then girlfriend Liza Minelli on set [two duplicates] all with photographer's ink-credit to reverse, all -- 10x8in. (25.4x20.3cm.);
- 34 black and white negatives of Peter Sellers with Liza Minelli, 1974, with corresponding contact sheet and one black and white print with photographers ink-credit to reverse -- 8x10in. (20.3x25.4cm.); and seven colour negatives, the shots taken on the same occasion, with a corresponding contact sheet (a lot)
