A French gilt-brass grande sonnerie carriage clock, circa 1880
The gorge case with white enamel Roman dial, rubbed retail signature, blued steel Breguet hands, subsidiary alarm ring below, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to lever escapement with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on two gongs, the back plate numbered 9894, with three-position adjustment lever to the underside, with numbered key; formerly with alarm train -- 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high
