A French scarlet boulle striking mantel clock, circa 1890
The waisted case with foliate cut brass inlaid red tortoiseshell decoration to front and sides, the sides also with mock sound frets, with off white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with blued steel hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with Brocot suspension and strike on gong, the back plate with stamp for Marti -- 17in. (43cm.) high
