The hood with swan neck pediment and inset brass-capped fluted columns, pierced sound frets to the sides, the trunk door with oval bevelled glass panel and flanked by canted angles, with conforming angles to the panelled plinth, the brass dial with engraved brass openwork foliate spandrels to a silvered and engraved chapter ring applied with Arabic chapters, strike/silent lever by 9, the centre with trellis-work mount, silvered seconds ring and retail plaque signed HARRISON & SON/4 HIGH ROW. DARLINGTON, the arch above with rings for strike/silent and Whittington/Westminster selection, the substantial eight day movement with deadbeat escapement, hour strike on single tubular bell and quarters on eight further tubular bells, the wood-rod pendulum with cylindrical zinc bob -- 93in.
