A George III carved oak thirty-hour longcase clock, circa 1785
The later carved case decorated with a tree to the trunk door, also carved 1725, and with a flower to the plinth, the 10in. square cut-away brass dial with crowned cherub spandrels to a brass Roman chapter ring signed John Taylor K. Stephen, the matted centre with scroll engraving around the date aperture, later steel hand, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell -- 76in. (193cm.) high
