A William IV mahogany, ebony line inlaid and brass-mounted striking table clock, circa 1830
The lancet-shaped case with ebony geometric line inlays to the front, with lion mask ring handles above part tracery sound frets to the sides, the stepped base raised on ball feet, with brass bezel to the white painted Roman convex dial, blued steel hands, strike/silent lever above XII, the eight day twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, strike/trip repeat on bell, with arched plates, the back plate and securing brackets with engraved border, with pendulum holdfast for adjustable pendulum -- 18¾in. (48cm.) high
