HYGINUS, Caius Julius (fl. 2nd century, attributed to). Poeticon astronomicon, edited by Jacobus Sentinus and J. L. Santritter. Venice: Thomas de Blavis, de Alexandria, 7 June 1488.
Chancery 4° (193 x 144mm). Roman type, woodcut initials, some initial spaces with guide-letter, full-page woodcut of an armillary sphere on verso of a1, astronomical woodcuts in text. (First leaf laid down, worming in text of first 3 leaves, tear into text of c7 without loss, two marginal tears repaired.) 19th-century marbled paper flexible boards. Provenance: contemporary marginalia (slightly shaved).
