JACOBUS DE VORAGINE (c.1230-c.1298). Legenda aurea sanctorum sive Lombardica. Strassburg: [Printer of the 1481 Legenda Aurea], 1482.
Chancery 2° (288 x 205mm). Gothic type, double column, red initials, rubricated, contemporary and later foliation. (Without initial blank, marginal wormholes towards the end, occasional spotting.) Contemporary German blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, early paper title label on upper cover (rebacked with morocco, other repairs, without clasps). Provenance: early marginal annotations -- Regensburg, Benedictine monastery of St. Emmeram (note on endpaper) -- Walter W. Greg (1875-1959, bibliographer; inscription).
A reprint in double columns of the edition of 1481. Not in Hain; BMC I, 97; Goff J-104.
