Super-chancery 2° (310 x 209mm). Roman type, printer's device (device A) on final leaf, a few ornamental woodcut initials, initials and paragraph marks alternating red and blue. (Small burn-hole to b.5 affecting text, some browning and spotting at ends.) Modern dark brown polished calf (very lightly rubbed). Provenance: early marginal annotations in two hands -- biographical note on the author written in an elegant humanist hand on first blank -- J. Ba[?z]an (inscription).
