Super-chancery 2° (305 x 206mm). Gothic type, double column, initials in red or blue, yellow capital strokes, printer's device at end. (Without the three blanks, lacks a1, S1-7, Q quire misbound at end, a few marginal tears, occasional ink soiling and staining.) Early 19th-century green calf, gilt, geometrical borders in gilt and blind, spine gilt in compartments (slightly rubbed.) Provenance: Hasnon, Benedictine monastery (note of purchase dated 1489) -- Dr Detlef Mauss (library stamp).
