5 parts in 2 volumes, super-chancery 2° (305 x 212mm). Gothic type, double or quadruple column, initial spaces, printed guide-letters, opening initials and Lombards supplied in blue and red, rubricator's date of 1503 on the title-page of each volume. (Slight dust-soiling to upper margins, a few minor marginal tears, some occasional staining, obscuring a few letters to Part III Ll3, some dampstaining in Part IV.) Contemporary blind-tooled deerskin over wooden boards, bound at Leipzig by Kyriss shop 102, covers with central panel of Rautengerank (Kyriss 103:3 = Schwenke-Sammlung 86) and artichoke tools (Kyriss 1) framed by a flower and strawberry roll (Kyriss 3=Schwenke-Sammlung Ranke 181); each volume with a pair of brass and leather fore-edge clasps inscribed with the abbreviated contents of the volume in a contemporary hand, index tabs, spines painted grey with contents ("P. Beckenhaub" and "S. Bonaventura") and shelfmarks in large coloured capitals, spine linings cut from a 14th-century(?) missal (covers soiled and rubbed with some scrapes, old repair to lower cover of vol. I). Provenance: note of purchase dated [15]17 on first title in vol.
