Chancery 2° (288 x 195mm). Roman type, initial spaces. (Without last blank, some dampstaining, heavier in the inner margins.) Vellum-backed paper boards, manuscript title on spine. Provenance: early marginal annotation -- Vienna, bequest note dated 22 April 1728 -- A.V.D.S (inscription dated 1728) -- Saxe-Meiningen, Ducal library (stamp).
This edition is reprinted from that of De Colonia and Manthen (Venice: 1470) with the omission of the letter of Squarzaficus to the author and of 'impressum' in the colophon. BMC notes that the book, which shows no connection with Treviso, may in fact be Venetian. The crescent watermark, present in this edition, was in use at this time in both Treviso and Venice.
