Chancery, 2° (286 x 197mm). Roman type, text with commentary surround, woodcut on title-page, woodcut initials, initial spaces with guide-letters. (3 small marginal repairs, a few repairs to last leaf not affecting text, some spotting and a little, predominantly marginal staining.) 18th-century vellum, spine gilt with red and green leather lettering pieces (rubbed).
The distinctive eagle found in the woodcut O was also used by De Pensis in the 1499 Dictys. HC *14228; Sander 6676; BMC V, 474; Goff S-84.
