Mary Queen of Scots (1542-87), in black dress with lace ruff and lace headress
in rectangular gilt wood frame with verre-eglomisé mount
rectangular, 4 x 3¼ in. (102 x 82 mm.); a young lady, in a lace-bordered purple dress, her fair hair upswept; and the Hon. Miss Hawke, in purple dress with high frilled collar, dark ringlets (English School, 19th Century)
the former unframed, the latter in pendant frame with blue glass border, glazed reverse
