Lot Essay

The Daubenkrug is a speciality of Kulmbach in Bavaria. These tankards with engraved pierced pewter frieze inlays were made from the late 17th untill the late 18th century. the most important makers of Daubenkruege were: Andreas Haas (1667-1732), Johann Caspar Herrmann (1701-1757) and Johann Georg Maurer (1720-1778).
