Lot Essay

Bien que principalement marchand-ébéniste-miroitier, Jacques-Charles-Denis Chartier produisit aussi de la menuiserie. Les rares exemples qui nous sont parvenus sont en majorité dans le style néoclassique le plus strict. Une paire de fauteuils estampillés par Chartier est passé en vente chez Sotheby's New York le 1er octobre 1988, lot 75.
