The stylish Café de Paris mirrors, with Roman veil-draped and antique-fluted medallion frames, reflect the fashionable 20th century Georgian or 'Adam' style encouraged by publications such as A.T. Bolton's The Architecture of Robert and James Adam, 1922. The composition also relates to that of dressing-mirror patterns in Thomas Sheraton's The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book, 1794.
