Brooke Boothby (1743-1824) was a Derbyshire landowner and poet. He published the writings of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and was part of a circle of intellectuals in the Midlands including Thomas Day who followed the ideals of Sensibility. He is most famously immortalised in a portrait by Joseph Wright of Derby (Tate Gallery, London).
