with hinged cover, metal mounts, ball feet, twin handles and lock, the ruby-flash ground enamelled and gilt to the cover with two birds in flight among flowering foliage, the casket elsewhere decorated with scrolling flowering foliage -- 4in. (10cm.) wide, 19th century (slight wear to gilt, key lacking)
