A SIOUX BEADED AND FRINGED HIDE PICTORIAL TOBACCO BAG
of tapering form, sinew sewn and lane-stitched in shades of blue, yellow, white-heart red, black, translucent yellow and green beads, central panel decorated on each side with pairs of stepped triangles flanking smaller geometric motifs, surmounted by panels of red, purple, white, and orange-dyed porcupine quillwork centering a yellow beaded horse on one side and a blue horse on the other, top panel constructed of golden brown muslin with bands of geometrical motifs along the sides and encircling the top, bottom panel with white, red, purple-dyed quillwork, hide fringe below
