A SIOUX BEADED AND FRINGED HIDE TOBACCO BAG
of narrow tapering form, sinew sewn and lane-stitched in yellow, white-heart red, and two shades of blue beads, central panel with geometric motifs on each side, surmounted by tapering bands stitched against an ochre painted ground, bands of similar geometric motifs along the sides and encircling the top, a panel of slats cut from painted parfleche and wrapped with natural and pink, tan, and blue-dyed porcupine quills suspended below, long hide fringe at bottom, beaded pendant ties terminating in metal cones attached at top
