THREE PAIRS OF EASTERN WOODLANDS HIDE MOCCASINS
the first, Iroquois, each with puckered toe, the U-shaped vamp overlaid with a panel of black cotton cloth and decorated with floral elements in various shades of opaque and translucent beads, the cuff flap overlaid with black velvet and edged with beadwork; the second, Huron, each with puckered toe, decorated on the vamp with floral motifs in yellow, purple and green-dyed moose hair; the third, Huron, of center seam construction, with thread embroidered flowers on the vamp
Lengths: the first, 9½ in. (24.1 cm.); the second, 9 in. (22.8 cm.); the third, 5¼ in. (13.3 cm.) each (6)
