Lot Essay

Lady Jane Mildmay (1765-1857) was the eldest daughter of Carew Mildmay of Shawford House, Hants, and of Mildmay Park, Stoke Newington, and his wife, Jane, daughter of William Pescod. She married Sir Henry Paulet St. John in 1786.
