The larger with the leopard crest of Child at the top rim above an overall flowering vine pattern, the other with a green enamel ground armorial device on the rim, which has a gilt ground floral border

Lot Essay

Several dishes of different sizes with this same pattern and varying green enamel ground armorial devices on the rim have appeared on the market, one from the collection of Robert Doyle, sold Christie's New York, 23 January 2001, lot 147, and two others from the collection of Benjamin F. Edwards III, sold Christie's New York, 22 January 2002, lot 220.
