COMPARATIVE LITERATURE
Nicholas Penny 'Catalogue of European Sculpture in the Ashmolean Museum' Oxford, 1992. A figure of the same design illustrated, item 325, volume II, page 95. Penny discusses an attribution for this model to Barthelemy Prieur (1535-1611) but concludes that it can not be identified for certain to him.
